Lurcher Rescue in Surrey, covering the South East of England run by volunteers whose mission is to rescue and home abused, abandoned and neglected Lurchers and Greyhounds from both the UK and Ireland.

PRO-GALGO was founded in 1999 by Mo Swatek, Swiss sighthound lover who wanted to help after hearing about the hanging of the galgos. She persuaded her Spanish husband to move to Spain to be able to work more efficient for the hounds. Her language skills made it possible to post the news about the hounds all over the world. PRO-GALGO fights for a better future of the hounds in Spain by giving lectures in schools, kindergardens, universities, by writing articles about the galgos and their suffering.

A registered charity whose aim is to relieve the suffering of unwanted, abused and neglected dogs, in particular sighthounds, by the provision of financial assistance and grants to any such animal rescue organisation and/or individuals as the trustees consider appropriate and by the provision of appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for such animals.
